Travel to Tiruannamalai, Kanchi, Hyderabad

Its been a long time since i went on a trip, i have decided to summarize my Business travel for the past 1 year.

Thiruvannamalai:

Thiruvannamalai is one of the Pancha Bootha Sthalangal representing the fire element along with Chidambaram, Sri Kalahasti, Thiruvanaikoil and Kanchipuram representing sky, air, water and earth respectively. Thiruvannamalai has long been associated with many yogis and siddhars, recently guru Ramana Maharshi.

Good place for those who are into Soul searching, ha ha ha.
The most famous word abt this place is "Girivalam" its a 14 km stretch around the temples.

Me and one of my other friend undertook this task of walking through the 14 km stretch, i would say its a great experience, you see many sages on the way asking for something and telling something about yo. We met a sage who said, he only had fruits for 15 years difficult to believe but when u see the person, you feel may be he is saying the truth. Walking this path at night is preferable, as the temperature can be very high during the day and it makes it difficult to enjoy the walk.

It does not cost a lot to get to Thiruvannamalai, there are buses from Bangalore and it takes 5 hrs approx to get there. Stay is available from Rs120 / night to Rs.1200 / night.

We visited Ramana Maharshi ashram and we found it to be a good place to meditate.
